Your support could change the life of someone like Laura*.
“When Laura was a child, she didn’t have a good relationship with her mum. She had lots of younger siblings, didn’t have her own room, and would sleep on the sofa. She spent some time in foster care, and eventually was asked to leave home permanently.
Laura came to live at YMCA Crewe while studying for her A-levels, determined to achieve her dream of studying law.
She had never had a quiet space to study before, and had always been reliant on her friends or the local library. YMCA Crewe gave her the space and privacy to concentrate on her work.
In August 2022, Laura received the A-level results she needed to secure her university place studying Law. A few weeks later, she moved out of her room at YMCA Crewe into her student accommodation, ready to begin the next stage in her journey to a new future.”
