It’s been great to have Wates, the building and construction company, run a two week programme at the YMCA. Participants have had taster sessions in carpentry and plumbing and visited local construction sites, as well as working on employability skills and sitting their CSCS test. Four residents from the Foyer benefited from this opportunity and other young people provided catering for the course participants through the Life Academy catering course.
