A new public drop-in service is being launched by YMCA Crewe to support those who are experiencing mental health concerns or are experiencing emotional distress. Whether it’s you, a friend or family member, the service acts as an initial point of contact, to help recognise/help identify early signs and symptoms of mental ill health and to listen and provide guidance and support through discussion. The scheme supports early intervention and recovery to prevent issues becoming more serious.
The drop-in service is based in the Glo Cafe at YMCA Crewe., and are led by Mental Health First Aider Emily Ramm. Emily has been trained to help identify early signs and symptoms of mental ill health along with providing guidance and support through listening and discussion.
‘This scheme offers local people the opportunity to address any concerns around mental health in complete confidentiality. By offering guidance & support we hope to be able to help people recognise issues early & through early identification prevent issues worsening’ Emily Ramm
You can book a session via email or by visiting the weekly drop-in sessions. All sessions are confidential and non-judgemental with all safeguarding rules applied.
