Over summer our Children and Families Team ran a variety of activities for local families, including a trip to Llandudno for the families we work with on the Sherborne Estate.
Communities and Volunteer Team Leader Tracey told us a little about the trip:
‘During the third week of August, we took a coach full of families to Llandudno for the day. The sun refused to come out and yet a lot of fun was still had. It was joyous for the Sherborne community to be able to finally come together. We sang, paddled, climbed on and off fair rides and probably ate a little too much ice cream along the way! A parent commented on how close she felt to her children after simply laughing all day long with them and watching them collapse into deep sleep on the coach back as they snuggled into her.’
