Your support could change the life of someone like Laura*.
Laura’s Story
“When Laura was a child, she didn’t have a good relationship with her mum. She had lots of younger siblings, didn’t have her own room, and would sleep on the sofa. She spent some time in foster care, and eventually was asked to leave home permanently.
Laura came to live at YMCA Cheshire while studying for her A-levels, determined to achieve her dream of studying law.
She had never had a quiet space to study before, and had always been reliant on her friends or the local library. YMCA Cheshire gave her the space and privacy to concentrate on her work.
In August 2022, Laura received the A-level results she needed to secure her university place studying Law. A few weeks later, she moved out of her room at YMCA Cheshire into her student accommodation, ready to begin the next stage in her journey to a new future.”

We’ve partnered with Sharon Harding at Peace of Mind Planning to promote our Legacy Giving service.
Sharon says:
“Like many I have had to cope with complexities of work, family, caring for an elderly parent and parent loss.
This gives me an insight into what life is like for my clients. I understand their unique situations and can advise on different issues surrounding care and provisions for loved ones.
An experienced Estate Planning Consultant and a member of the Society of Will Writers, I am also an Associate member of The Institute of Paralegal’s. Furthermore, I am fully insured up to £2 million per case and fully DBS checked.”
