Have you ever wanted to run London Marathon for charity, but been put off by the minimum sponsorship required?
On Sunday 4th October, the same day as London Marathon, YMCA Crewe will host our own virtual charity marathon with a difference. No participation fees, no minimum sponsorship amount, just an opportunity for people from all walks of life to complete the ultimate bucket list challenge, and get their very own marathon t-shirt and medal.
Participants will have 24 hours to walk or run 26.2 miles, either individually or as part of a relay team. The miles completed will need to be logged either using an app, or good old pen and paper, and everyone completing the 26.2 miles will receive a medal and t-shirt. We will provide a fundraising pack and additional fundraising advice for anyone wishing to raise money to support our vital work with young people who have experienced homelessness, but there will be no obligation, or pressure to raise money. We just want to bring our community together, share the sense of achievement, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
