On Sunday 26th June, as part of Refugee Week, we are asking YMCA Crewe supporters to come together to walk, run, or cycle 3000 miles, representing the journey from Damascus to Crewe.
YMCA Crewe supports Refugees, Asylum Seekers, and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children by offering accommodation, support, and the opportunity to integrate into their new community. Ukrainian Refugees may be at the forefront of our minds, but we’re still supporting many refugees who have fled Syria in search of refuge.
Our 3000 mile challenge reflects the 3000 mile journey they have made from the Syrian capital Damascus, to YMCA Crewe.
To take part, please fill in the form below, and pledge to complete 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 miles on Sunday 26th June.
We are also hoping to use the challenge to raise money to support our work. You can donate to the 3000 miles campaign here https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/3000milestoYMCACrewe
Together, we hope to travel the entire 3000 miles in one day, and raise money to support the individuals who arrive at YMCA Crewe seeking refuge. However they may have travelled, and no matter how hard their journey may have been.
