The Maintenance/ House Clearance Officer role is crucial to the work we do supporting the community with our social enterprise business working with local authorities to support those who struggle with hoarding, cleaning and maintaining their properties. The main aim of the social enterprise is to generate unrestricted income, support our community and to provide training and volunteering opportunities to local people.

There may also be work at our main accommodation at Gresty Road, where we house up to 69 people who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing homelessness.

As part of our social enterprise, we also deliver a range of quality services to letting agents, private landlords and tenants of YMCA Crewe. These services include general handyman services, grounds maintenance, and house clearance.

We would love to offer this opportunity to an “all rounder”, but skills that are particularly important are painting and decorating, deep cleaning properties, clearing houses of those that hoard, being able to build flat pack furniture. Basic joinery, plumbing, and working with power tools would be a bonus.

-24 hours a week over 3 days 8am-4pm

-£13.50 per hour
